MAN CHARGED WITH STASHING CHILD PORN IN TREEHOUSE

Daniel Wood, 56, of Mill Creek, Washingston, was charged with the possession of child pornography last week after a treehouse belonging to him was found in a part of Washington State's Mount Baker Snoqualmie National Forest.

For years there had been rumours of the existence of the treehouse, and a worker at the Department of Natural Resources had combed the forest a number of times in search of the cabin before discovering it in November 2016.

In the treehouse, pictures of  naked or scantily-clad young girls between the ages of eight and twelve can be found, both framed and unframed.

The treehouse also contained a bed, basic supplies such as food and dishes and clothing.

Wood is set to appear in court on 26 March.
