HORROR: POLICE DISCOVER 54 HUMAN HANDS

Police discovered 54 human hands in a frozen river more than two weeks ago, and this grim discovery has led to the formulation of all kinds of sinister theories in various quarters.

Although the authorities of Khabarovsk, the town where the hands were found, admitted to chopping off hands from 410 unidentified corpses last year, they avowed that the 54 severed hands washed up on the island had anything to do with them.

One theory is that the hands belong to victims of  the black market trade in body parts. Another theory suggests that the hands belonged to victims of  mafia gangs in Japan or China. Yet another theory - and probably the most chilling - is that the hands belonged to victims of a dismembering maniac.

Investigations are at present, ongoing.
